We are a group of interdisciplinary researchers from University of Malaya, Malaysia and Plymouth Marine Laboratory, United Kingdom with expertise in governmental governance, economics, social sciences, resource planning and marine ecosystems.

Dr Goh Hong Ching
University of Malaya, Malaysia
Goh Hong Ching is a senior lecturer at the Department of Urban and Regional Planning, Faculty of Built Environment, Universiti Malaya. She holds a Doctor of Natural Science degree (Geography) from Rheinische Friedrich-Wilhelms-Universitaet Bonn, Germany.

She is the Malaysian principal investigator for this research.
Dr Amy Then Yee Hui
University of Malaya, Malaysia
Dr Amy Then is a senior lecturer at the Institute of Biological Sciences, Faculty of Science, University of Malaya. She received her PhD degree in Fisheries Science from the Virginia Institute of Marine Science, USA. In addition to fisheries related research, she is currently working on various project related to coastal and marine ecology conversation.
Dr Moh Heng Hing
University of Malaya, Malaysia
Dr Moh Heng Hing is an expert on marine species and has many years of research experience on mangrove. He obtained his Doctoral Degree from University of Malaya and now working as a research officer in Institute of Biological Science, Faculty of Science, University of Malaya.
Nur Fatin Nabilah Ruslan
University of Malaya, Malaysia
Nur Fatin Nabilah Ruslan is a research assistant for this project and at the same time, is doing her Masters degree on how mangrove ecosystem services contributes to coastal communities' well-being. She is a Biological Science graduate from the University of Auckland, New Zealand.
Jennice Yap Shu Ee
University of Malaya, Malaysia
Jennice Yap Shu Ee earned her Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science and Management from University of Malaya. She is a research assistant for this project and now is working on her Master's degree on Interdependencies of Mangroves and Fisheries Production of the Klang Islands.

Dr Caroline Hattam
Plymouth Marine Laboratory, UK
Dr Caroline Hattam is an environmental economist whose main area of research is in the assessment and valuation of marine ecosystem services using both monetary and non-monetary techniques. She is particularly interested in how valuation methods can be improved, especially for ecosystem services that are not currently traded through markets.

She is the UK Principal Investigator for this project.
Andrew Edwards-Jones
Plymouth Marine Laboratory, UK
Mr Andrew Edwards-Jones is a social scientist with the Plymouth Marine Laboratory, United Kingdom. He is an experienced multi-disciplinary researcher, having also worked on numerous research projects at Plymouth University, UK, where he is also an Associate Lecturer, teaching in Qualitative Data Analysis. He holds a Masters in Biological Diversity and is qualified as Associate Fellow in Higher Education Academy.
